Demi Moore\u2019s words of wisdom are full of substance.<\/p>\n

The actress, who turned 63 on Nov. 11, got candid on aging while on \u201cThe Stephen Colbert Show<\/a>\u201d on her birthday.<\/p>\n

Colbert, 61, asked Moore how she feels after a whirlwind year including winning her first Golden Globe for her work in \u201cSubstance,\u201d starring on the hit Paramount+ show \u201cLandman,\u201d and earning the title of one of\u00a0Glamour\u2019s \u201cWomen of the Year.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWow. That\u2019s how I feel. Wow, what a great fun year,\u201d she gushed. \u201cI just feel like this is an amazing time, and anybody who thinks that getting older means life is less is sadly mistaken.\u201d<\/p>\n

In December 2024, Moore reflected on getting older and being less hard on herself.<\/p>\n

The \u201cG.I. Jane\u201d actress told\u00a0People<\/a>\u00a0at the time that she realized that \u201cover the course of my whole life,\u201d she spent too much time passing \u201cjudgment against myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can look back and go at 20, at 30 I was finding things that weren\u2019t good enough,\u201d reflected Moore. \u201cMy relationship with [aging] now is much more in a joyous acceptance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, there\u2019s things that you go, \u2018Oh, I wish that was not that way,\u2019 but in terms of the whole, I see myself and the fullness of who I am as opposed to just the external idea of who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

While on\u00a0Today<\/a>\u00a0in September 2024, Moore opened up about how she\u2019s setting an example for future generations, including her daughters\u00a0Rumer, 37,\u00a0Scout, 34, and\u00a0Tallulah, 31, whom she shares with her ex-husband\u00a0Bruce Willis.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are what the future is for women, and I look at having my daughters and I don\u2019t want [it] to ever be in their minds that there is an end,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo me, this is the most exciting time of my life,\u201d continued Moore. \u201cIt is, I feel like my children are grown, I have the most independence and autonomy to really redefine where I want to go. I don\u2019t know what that looks like or where it is. But I\u2019m just excited to be living in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the \u201cStriptease\u201d star\u2019s Golden Globes win last January\u00a0sent the internet into a frenzy.<\/a><\/p>\n

The accolade was Moore\u2019s first ever win in the span of her 45-year career.<\/p>\n

During her speech, she recounted an exchange with a movie producer 30 years ago who called her a \u201cpopcorn actress.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt that time, I made that mean that this wasn\u2019t something that I was allowed to have,\u201d Moore expressed. \u201cAnd I bought in and I believed that and that corroded me over time to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it. Maybe I was complete, maybe I\u2019ve done what I was supposed to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore admitted that the \u201cSubstance\u201d came during a low point in her career.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Then] I had this magical, bold, courageous, out of the box, absolutely bonkers script come across my desk called \u2018The Substance,\u2019 and the universe told me that you\u2019re not done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore relayed: \u201cI\u2019ll just leave you with one thing that I think this movie is imparting. In those moments, when we don\u2019t think we\u2019re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough: I had a woman say to me, \u2018Just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cSt. Elmo\u2019s Fire\u201d actress\u2019s daughters celebrated her on social media after her massive accomplishment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a gift to witness you shine and be acknowledged not only for the incredible work you did in this film but in the multitude of staggeringly breathtaking work your entire career,\u201d Rumer wrote. \u201cThis is just the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tallulah also gushed over her mom.<\/p>\n
