ICE Agent ‘ReIieved’ of Duties After ViraI Video Shows Him Shoving Woman to Ground
A federal immigration agent has been “relieved” of duty after videos surfaced showing him shoving a woman and pulling her hair outside a New York City immigration court.
The viral clip shows the woman pleading with the officer before he slams her against a wall and forces her to the ground as bystanders scream. New York City Comptroller Brad Lander wrote: “[An] ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital.”
Another video cited by CNN shows the woman linking arms with her detained husband. A masked agent is also seen grabbing her hair while another voice says, “Just grab her, grab her and pull her away.”
ICE confirmed the incident is under investigation.
