Police find man shot at crash scene in north St. Louis
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – An investigation is underway after police found a man shot when officers responded to a vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in north St. Louis.
The crash was reported around 5:22 p.m. near Natural Bridge and Marcus Avenue. When St. Louis Metropolitan Police arrived, officers found a man had been shot but was conscious and breathing.
Police said the shooting happened in the 3400 block of Union Boulevard. A 57-year-old man and a 66-year-old man reportedly got into an argument in the parking lot at the Schnucks in that area. Witnesses told police the 66-year-old man, driving a car, struck the 57-year-old man and continued driving around the lot, threatening the 57-year-old.
Police said the 57-year-old took out a gun and then shot at the car once, striking the 66-year-old in the arm. The 66-year-old drove away and made it to the 4600 block of Natural Bridge, where he crashed his car.
The 66-year-old was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Police say the 57-year-old man was taken into custody and they will be seeking charges with the prosecutor’s office.

Police say this is part of a trend where homes are booked for a single night and used to host large gatherings and end up leading to criminal activity.
Police advise rental property owners to:
■ Install exterior security cameras to monitor activity.
■ Vet renters thoroughly before confirming bookings.
■ Be cautious of one-night rentals.
■ Notify nearby neighbors so they can help watch the property.
■ Report any suspicious large gatherings to law enforcement.
